My House Of Bricks Reflection

Kia ora a few months ago we had people that came in from the house of bricks and they came and gave us advice on making lego creations.

 My favourite Lego activity was desinging the mosaic because  Lily, Mia and I made a beautiful beach and we got a photo with it.

My least favourite Lego activity was the car racing because I didn’t like having to go back and change it. 

The activity that tested my perseverance the most was passing the bricks because when I got mine back it did not look like it had at the start.

The most challenging activity was pass the bricks because as I was adding stuff to other peoples I watched my creation change and develop.

I enjoyed working collaboratively with others because It shows that it makes the job go quicker.

Weird Writing

 Kia ora and welcome back this week for witing we are doing a persuasive text. We had to choose a topic off a doc and I chose that we should not have sweets everyday. I wrote about not having sweets everyday because it there is a downside to it. here is a demonstration say that I wanted to make it so nobody littered I would have to do a persuasive text to the government. but there would have to be lots of persuasion and good writing. but I hope you enjoy.

You should not have sweets every day.

You should not have sweets every day because then you will be very unhealthy. 

Lots of sweets contain artificial flavors,colors and sugar. Artificial anything is not good for your body. Your body doesn't really understand anything artificial. You can even get cavities from too much sugar.

You might get sick from eating too many sweets but you can have them once or twice a week. I know as kids we love sweets but it's not the best for us. Adding it to a balanced diet is the best idea.

Jolly junk food persuasive writing

                                                Hi im back with some persuasive writing.

Over lockdown I have been working on my persuasive writing, this week mine is on junk food. I love junk food but it is unhealthy so it a sometimes food. You need to have a balanced diet and try not to eat dessert unless you  are exersising because it is unhealthy but if you want to you can, I hope you enjoy.

Junk food at school?

I believe that we should be able to have Junk food at school. We should be able to have junk food because then we will be able to power through our work because of the calories, we will be so hiped up from the simple sugars we might even ask more questions. Who doesn’t want a nice gooey caramel chocolate bar? We would be good for the day and crash at night and have a good sleep.

Great Graphs for Maths

                                                            Hi everyone 

                                   I hope you hade an amazing holiday, I did that for sure.

In my maths this week we are learning about graphs. Our goal is display data using more than one variable The teachers got everyone to stand up on their birthday month for each team and then wrote it down in a table, and thats how we collected the data., choose an appropriate data, display using more than one variable being , interpret information from graphs plan an investigation. First I made the Bar Graph. I went onto a Google Sheet and pressed the button, Insert Chart and I pressed Bar Graph and did the same with the Line Graph. We also had to come up with a 4 statements, so I put my statement underneth my graphsI had a lot of fun making the graphs and I hope you enjoy.

Magical Margaret Mahy

 On the 20th of may we went on a trip to margaret mahy first we went on the waka then we went to Victoria Square Next we went to Margaret Mahy last but not least we went to feed the tuna eles as well as looking at the mats .

First me and my team went on the Waka we learnt how to use the paddles then we went to victoria square.We drew a Pou and learnt about the maori meaning of pou and we saw the stachus of captain james cook and Queen Victoria.

Next we went to Margaret Mahy and we did a scavenger hunt for maori patterns me Mila, Charlotte almost got all the patterns but then we got called in and mrs Carney told us about the patterns and what they mean last but not least we feed the tuna eles I got a fright by them but the most fun thing was playing with my friends. 

My favourite part of the trip was victoria square because we got to learn about the pou the kai table.There are stachues of captain james cook and queen victoria

Something I learnt was that margaret mahy have Maori designs printed in it's path it also has a song in it. There are the first ships that sailed to New Zealand.    

The thing I found the most interesting was the tuna eles because they snap the food and it is quite interesting as well as it gives you a fright 

This trip has helped me with my PBL because I learnt lots of things about victoria square and the maori patterns

MY RE VINE

This week has been a hard week with swimming but I have been able to finish almost all of my work. Here is one of my subjects it is on RE. For RE we were doing vines of God. Here is my vine for RE. We had to write six things on the vines. The six ideas were what to do to stay on Gods vine.

My Multiplication Maths

 This week in maths we are learning our multiplication and we are using place value. For an easier way to solve big questions like 86x3 it makes it a lot more fun. It's  good if you need to work out big questions on the go 

I really liked how easy it was and it made it so much more fun to do my maths I hope you enjoy
