The Dream Giver

The Dream Giver checked off orphan 2655. The Dream Giver flew into the room of sleeping children. The bed the orphan was in was dazzling and dancing slowly as he slept. He fluttered onto the ground and placed the bag of dream eggs and placed them on Oliver's bed. The dream giver opened it and grabbed a mythacal egg and looked around and there it was a beautiful ballet tip shoes on her bed. The dream giver cracked a  magical egg and poured out the magical goo. she got a dream of a beautiful ballerina as he watched the ballerina twirl around on her bed.

A good blog needs a catchy title and a Question, also an interesting story that is about something you did today the Question should be at the end and don’t make it a yes or no Question.

A good comment is when you can answer a Question tell them if you liked there blog and it inspired them to do more blogs and you are really liking there blog.

The life and time of Mary mother of Jesus

The life and time of Mary mother of Jesus Introduction ( Who Mary is?)

In the catholic family Mary is the mother of everyone. Mary was chosen because she never sinned and God chose her to be the mother of Jesus. 

The Annunciation 

Mary was at home when the angel Gabriel came to visit her. Gabriel said you will have a baby and you will name him Jesus.It was God's idea. She was shocked because she’d never seen an angel before and she was not married but she was engaged.However she accepted his/her will.

The Visitation of Mary 

Mary traveled to her relative Elizabeth's house to see her .Elisabeth already knew that Mary had a baby in her belly. Elizabeth's baby jumped for joy when it heard her voice.

Mary stayed with her for three whole  months and looked after her.

The Birth of Jesus

Mary and Joseph had to be in Bethlehem because the government was counting the people in the land.now mary had a really big belly. All of the  inns were full so they had to stay in a stable. Then she had baby Jesus.Mary looked after Jesus with all her heart and keeped Jesus near her. Now we celebrate it as christmas. 

The Presentation of Jesus at the Temple.

Jesus was presented to the temple by Mary and Joseph .They saw a man say I will meet the king before I die .Mary gave the man Jesusto hold then he said I have held the king.  

Jesus Found in the Temple 

Mary and Joseph were walking back home. They were one hour through the walk and they realized that Jesus was not with them. They looked for him for three days .

Then they finally found him in the temple and Jesus said you should have known I was here in my father's house and they went back home.

The Marriage at Cana 

Mary was at Cana celebrating a wedding. They ran out of wine half way through the wedding and Mary said to Jesus, we have run out of wine. Jesus said don't tell me what to but then he did it .Mary told the servants to do  what Jesus said and they said yes ma'am. Jesus said fill the buckets up with water and they turned wine .This is Jesus's first miracle

Mary at the Cross

Jesus was getting nailed on the cross Mary was watching. Jesus said to John take care of Mary and John said yes I will .He grabbed Mary and took her home with him.  Easter is the time that we remember when Jesus came back to life  

The Pentecost Story

Pentecost is when the Holy Spirit came down on Mary and the disciples They had flames on top of their heads to show the holy spirit was in them. They started talking in different languages but they were still praying .Mary and the disciples did many miracles following the pentecost .

Conclusion and a question.

We should be like Mary because she is loving and cares. She is very nice and she loves everyone in the world.

Israel Adventures

My friend moved to Israel and I have been wondering how it is different to New Zealand. I know that Jesus was born there.I am going to find out some other facts about Israel; keep reading.

Where is Israel?

Israel is found near the Mediterranean Sea and it is near Egypt on a world map which surprisingly is a long way away from New Zealand.

Even though Israel is one tenth of the size of New Zealand, it has more population.

The area of New Zealand is 268,021 square kilometers whilst Israel is 22,145 square kilometers.

The Population of New Zealand 4.886 million people. Israel is almost 2 times bigger with 8.884 million people. The temperature of Israel is probably one of the warmest places I know. In winter time it does not get very cold, the minimum is 12 degrees.

Important places in Israel.

Bethlehem is in Israel also it is where Jesus was born. It is a beautiful place. The Dead Sea is a place where it has high salt levels so no sea animals live there and you can’t sink.

Jerusalem was where travelers go and it is where main events have happened. It is one of the oldest cities in the world. It is a holy place to visit.

Animals found in Israel.

In Israel there are lots of animals that New Zealand does not have. 

Mountain Gazelles live in Israel mainly in the West Bank area around deserts and on mountains.

Another animal that I didn't know existed is the Marbled Polecat. The Marbled Polecat looks like a ferret, the colors of it is black, white and orange. The weirdest one is the Water Bear, they are about 1 mm in size, you will have to use a microscope.  They live on moss .

Food eaten in Israel.

Here is one of my favorite meals in Israel.

Falafel is like a big meatball without meat. You can't really find much pork in Israel because Jews and Muslums don't eat it .

Where my friend lives.

What my friend's house looks like. She lives in an apartment where other people live. They all live on different stories in their own separate houses.

I think Israel is a lovely place to go because it looks really nice and would be a really warm place to go and my friend lives there .It has different food to New Zealand and i really want to try some. I also  want to see all the animals.

A very fierce bee.

Kirsty and Rachel were walking and they decided to follow the river.
Then they saw a bee so they shouted “run!”  The cows got scared and ran around the pen .
When it went cold for a minute then  the bee lead them to a cottage and this old lady came out wearing a bee coat. She gave them some honey to try and they were still looking for Saffron the yellow fairy.

The magical hive.

They wondered where Saffron the yellow fairy was. They saw a hive underneath the biggest tree so they asked for a  drink. While she was getting a drink the girls quickly
opened the lid and they saw her sitting on a honeycomb chair.

Bee friends

Saffron the yellow fairy  introduced the girls to Saffrons bee friends, so she said “this is Queenie and this is Petal.” They had forgotten that they had asked for a drink so Kirsty quickly shoved her into her pocket.  When she went away they quickly dunked her into the water to get the fuzz off of her wings.

The End 

I read this book in one afternoon, I liked it because it has my name in it.

jolly jars

This term, our Project Based Learning (PBL) started with the teachers putting us into groups. In these groups we had to work collaboratively to create Jolly Jars for the school fair. This task helped us to begin exploring our PBL question for the term - How can we build community through our actions? We had to research ideas, be creative with our product, experiment with our materials and write instructions that could be followed by others.

I learnt that instructions need to tell people what they’re doing and how they can do it .

Reflection on PBL:

For our Jolly Jar, my group did herb in a jar . People can grow all different types of herbs in the
container .

I contributed to my group by bringing in the sand, I help make the jolly jar.

Our Jolly Jar was creative because it was an activity to last and long time.

What I learned about working with others was I learnt that you need to agree on ideas and the
idea has to be something everyone will enjoy.

How did we build community through our actions? We built a community by selling different
jolly jars and raising money for the bike track .

She was born in 1907- she died in 1954.

She was 47. 

I also did a photo of a Jan-van Eyck.

I created a cross section  in minecraft of WW1 I did tunnels and trenches .

Anzac day 

Anzac day is a day where you remember the soldiers who died in the world wars.
The wars  took place in Gallipoli  and all around the world.
Anzac day means Australian, New Zealand army corps.
We you’se poppy as a syombel because it was the first flower to grow in flanders feld 

we made Anzac biscuits and we made poppies out of cupcake liners, egg cartons, milk containers.next we cut the shape and we colored it in we had a lot of fun decorating our gate

This week is our first week of online school .
I was nervous that I would not finish all the work I was supposed to do but surprisingly I did more than I was supposed to.
Before we went into quarantine we started making a book for the year 1/2 about their favourite animal.
We had to research about their favourite animal. My animal was a butterfly.
